  In this month’s ASHRAE presentation we are honored to have a local distinguished Dallas chapter ASHRAE member presenting. In this presentation we are going to take an in depth look at the Texas Ethics Cannons and focus on the Engineer’s responsibility to “Protect the public welfare”. In addition, Ed will also add real life situations that he has faced over his career. This presentation and open discussion will allow engineers to compare and discuss issues they have seen with an open forum.

  Ed has over 40 years in the consulting engineering business (Mostly as a design engineer). Founding partner of SCHMIDT & STACY® Consulting Engineers, Inc. As a member of ASHRAE since 1969, ED was the chair of the ASHRAE technical committee 1.5 from 1972 thru 1975. He has provided engineering services in 44 states and 10 countries. His work is primarily associated with large commercial, institutional and residential buildings. His expertise is in the fields of HVAC, plumbing and related electrical systems design, construction and operation. He continues an active design practice while providing forensic engineering and litigation support as an individual.
